My Position In Relation To Working With Other Parties
Policies give a window into a person or parties "Ideals", give a sense of what is important, give indication of a direction to follow.
In reading the following policy guidelines it will be determined that this Independent's policy ideals are not that different from the majority of current minor/major parties.
As a newly elected Independent I will work with "ALL" parties to bring about positive urgent change that is needed, that is the beauty of being an Independent I can move and stand for the betterment of our country and not for the betterment of a political party whom these same political parties have the behind scenes powerful people that so often pull the strings of some minor and definitely, the current major parties, for their own self-interest or particular lobby group.
Please remember, I will seek to understand (always) people's different views from the constituents of "Barwon" on various future matters that may come up, this before I will seek to be understood as a possible future leader.
As a True Independent it is not my role to get in the way of "GOOD" policy/legislation put forward to parliament, by other's elected to parliament, my role is to work in "Bi-Partisan" effort, firstly, to get things done and moving in this country of ours, I must only to get in the way of "BAD" policy which overall does not enhance the lives of "ALL" Australians and not just some.
It is my intent, if elected as the "Barwon Electorates Representative" to be directed by the electorate of "Barwon", to be guided by a majority of my constituents, by way of using appropriate technology to enable my electorate of "Barwon" to then communicate directly with me as your Member of Parliament by way of the majority would want me to vote on any "Bill" or piece of "Legislation" that comes before the "Legislative Assembly".
...Please remember...
That only a True Independent can make this commitment to you the voters of "Barwon Electorate". NO minor or major party will "EVER" let or allow the people of their electorate to finally decide which way an elected Member of Parliament (MP) should vote, something that has never before happened in the history of our Australian Parliament, I would suggest, think about this future real possibility when deciding whom to give your next precious vote to.
NSW State Parties & Independents
Bipartisanship in politics means that the opposing parties are cooperative with each other even when they disagree about the other's beliefs. There are time periods in which bipartisanship is a significant part of politics and there are time periods in which bipartisanship is figment of imagination.
The following video, while it speaks about the American House representatives, it shows using voting data that from the 1950's to current day, the idea of governing for the people to move the country ahead, that sadly working together for the overall benefit of the people is no longer what governments are about...now it is easy to replace the American Democratic and Republican parties with Australia's own red and blue Labor and Liberal parties, because if we were to do the same with stat's you would clearly see the same picture and rise of self-centred partisanship raise its ugly head.
If elected I will do everything in my power to bring back Bipartisanship, while I don't always agree with other member's or parties as a whole, there are times where what they say and want to do has merit and I will work with them in principle to help fine tune their legislation being put before the house...everything has to pass the "For the benefit of the Majority" test.

In today's political society, one of the biggest debates is whether bipartisanship is attainable anymore. Bipartisan efforts have been declining in recent years, the main reason that bipartisanship is declining is polarisation.
A lawmaker that engages in bipartisanship will be able to pass legislation further along in the lawmaking process. I think the bipartisanship can happen again, all members of any government can put their differences aside and unite for a greater good.

To The People Of The Barwon Electorate
We have got to want change before change will happen...
Putting faith decade after decade in mainstream major and minor parties will bring about the same result.
We are...you are better than that...
Use your vote wisely and start to put your faith in future leaders who come from amongst you.
