Supporting freedom is not "fascist apologism"

Some believe that we must blindly approve of everything our governments (at each level) says and does and if we don't there is something wrong with those that do and are branded conspiracy theorists. That kind of thinking I find very concerning.

There must be a considered and sincere effort by future leaders to encourage talking to each other in a more objective way or else we run the risk of becoming more polarized as an Australian society, if that is still possible.

Our freedoms are a fundamental tenet of democracy, condemning pro-freedom protestors says more about that person than it does about the protestors.

"Seek to understand before seeking to be understood"

Protest is one of our most precious protections that we have as citizens no matter what the protest is about, just because we personally don't agree with the message but then engage in protests of other sorts that we do agree with to then suggest these are different protests entirely "smacks" of hypocrisy playing only to one's base which only serves to further divide.
